Sayonara

Sayonara, sayonara, sampai berjumpa pulang.

When we were kid, our teacher taught us how to sing that song. Then, we sang that song cheerfully every day right before we went home. So now, I wonder how hard it is to say goodbye when we have grown up. Haven’t we learned how to say goodbye since we were child? Being an adult sometimes means being hard to do something that can be easily done by a child, right? Where has the cheerfulness gone? There’s only sorrowfulness behind every “goodbye” whereas in the end, the song itself says, “Buat apa susah? Buat apa susah? Susah itu tak ada gunanya.”

Haven’t we fully grasped the meaning of the lyrics?
